Study & Discussion meetings

  1. Open age Bible discussion house group Wed 7:30p.m.
  2. Youth and young Christians Bible study house group Mon 8p.m.
  3. Ladies study group Tue 8p.m. in church

The Christian life revolves around a loving relationship with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit and so we at the I.M. Church believe that studying the Bible is one, if not the, most important thing for a Christian (or a would-be Christian.) to do.

We are told in the Bible that 'Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.' Rom 10:17, and so we believe hearing and reading is a necessity to increase your relationship and your faith with and in The Lord Jesus Christ.

Without reading the Bible it is not possible to develop the kind of relationship that God wants with you; it challenges the natural thoughts and actions that may often be wrong and sinful, it helps us to live a right kind of life according to God.

From reading the Bible we learn how to pray, how to listen to what God may be saying, how to behave, how to have fellowship, in fact everything about the Christian life can be learnt from reading the Word of God. It's the perfect Christian's handbook to living a right life.

Open age Bible Study & Discussion.

Our weekly Bible discussion group meets each Wednesday at 7.30pm to read and study portions of the Bible. We start by spending a short time in prayer. Led by the speaker from the previous Sunday's service, the discussions review and expand upon the sermon given. The meetings are very informal and there are always plenty of opportunities to ask questions and join in the discussions.

Young people's Bible Study

On Monday nights at 8pm there is a "18-30" Bible Study house group. Don't be put off by the age range, the group is aimed at young people and young Christians alike, plus people who are new to bible study.

Whether you are just curious about the Bible, a new Christian hoping to learn more about God or a mature Christian just interested in discussing the Bible, we give you a warm invitation to any of our groups. Please contact us if you need details of where the house groups are held or come along to our Sunday morning service.

James 3:1 (NIV)

Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.
