What is it to be a Christian?.
People today call themselves Christians for many reasons, some because their parents had them Christened, others because it was the parents were Christened, and others still because their parents went to church; Some think because they were born in England the are Christian, or because they think that being nice or doing good things means they can call themselves Christian.
According to the Bible being born into a Christian family, getting christened or going to church or doing nice things doesn't make you a Christian. The word literally means 'little-Christ' and was in fact first used as an insult for people who were just like 'the man Jesus'.
No matter what you may think about religion, what you might see of priests, rituals and church buildings, Christianity isn't a religion, it's a relationship, a relationship with Jesus Christ the Son of God. Christianity is about putting our trust in what God has done for us by Jesus dying upon the Cross at Calvary and through the Holy Spirit's work we are changed, so that instead of living to pleasing ourselves we live to please God the Father living in like manner to Jesus Christ.
Christianity.
