John 14:6

Jesus answered, I am the way the truth and the life. no one comes to the Father except through me.

John 17:17

Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.

1 John2 V16 (NIV)

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.
Home Christianity. Becoming a Christian.

The message at the heart of Christianity is really quite simple; it is about the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and His return as Lord, therefore offering men and women a chance for a new life and to become a part of His Church, believing because He was raised from the dead those who belong to Him will be raised also.

The message of christianity or the 'Good News' is that Jesus Christ died once for all; meaning all sin and all people, and that His death upon a cross was the blood sacrifice required by a just and holy God for the acts of sin committed by Adam, the first man, and by every person who has ever lived.

At the heart of the Christian faith is a living relationship with God. The Bible tells us that becoming a Christian is about finding forgiveness through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and entering into a 'new life'.

Entering into this ‘new life’, as the Bible calls it, is actually what it is to be a Christian. None of us are born a Christian, we have to become one, we have to be re-born into the family of God through the indwelling and imputation of the Holy Spirit and this by His grace alone.

Christianity involves accepting God’s forgiveness through the death of Jesus Christ upon the cross, it is about believing that Jesus Christ rose upon the third day, and because Jesus Christ is raised, after our death, we will rise also, to a new home in Heaven.

It is about choosing to live for God daily, looking to Him for guidance and direction. It is not a set of rules or regulations or even about a religion, but a relationship based on God’s unconditional love and forgiveness.

Please remember every person is just a prayer away from being re-united and restored back to a right relationship with God, this by faith in the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Asking God to forgive our sin and deciding to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, trusting always in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ upon the cross, God promises to accept the shed blood of Jesus for the forgiveness of our sins.
